Countdown to Launch
From a Bernard with earbuds to a 320 page sealed envelope ready for distribution, Clairvaux Manifesto has come a long way. We’re just polishing the last details of the website before official launch (in a couple of days).
Over the past week, I personally distributed 40 books in Vancouver and on Vancouver Island. The manifesto is already in Korea and on it’s way to the UK. Soon it will be in China and Honduras. There are a number of copies already in Ontario and more are already being hand delivered to friends in Newfoundland.
I have 1400 books here in my office ready for shipping to eager readers and a distributor in Ontario has 1600.
On Thursday, I’ll fly to Ontario to spend time with various friends around the province, host conversations and distribute books. From there, I’ll fly on to Montreal, Halifax and St. John’s.
I want to say thanks to all the friends who co-created this book. One friend lent $10,000 to get the book started; another friend lent $1500 when bills needed paying; another built us a super-computer without a price-tag; others gave months of time and energy to edit, design and layout (for little or no immediate payback); another friend graciously offered an amazing PR/Marketing contract; another secured a great print price; another has been building this very website from scratch…. and I’ll see many other friends in various cities and provinces over the next two weeks.
Bottom line: We are called to carry the ark, but we can’t touch it. YHWH is on the move. It’s time to go on the offensive!
"Every time something thwarts
your plans and desires, use that as a reminder
to communicate with Me. This practice has several benefits.
The first is obvious; Talking with Me blesses you and strengthens our
relationship. Another benefit is that disappointments, instead
of dragging you down, are transformed into opportunities
for good. This transformation removes the sting
from difficult circumstances, making it
possible to be joyful in the midst
of adversity.
Begin
by
practicing this
discipline in all the little
dissappointments of daily life.
It is often these minor setbacks that draw
you away from My Presence. When you reframe
'setbacks' as 'opportunities', you will find that you gain
much more than you have lost. It is only after much training
that you can acccept major losses in this positive way. But it is possible
to attain the perspective of the apostle Paul, who wrote":
'Compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing
Christ, I consider everything I once
treasured to be as
insignificant
as rubbish.'
